I name the four powers who are behind the al-Qaeda conspiracy,,1065-1704834,00.html
From a certain point of view, the journalist, the politician, the police chief and the terrorist can be seen as locked in a macabre waltz of the mind, no less distorting for being unconscious. We should not to join that dance.

Police wait for wider anti-terrorism powers
Britain's police chiefs will have to wait until September for ministers to decide whether to provide them with wide-ranging new anti-terrorist powers, including the right to detain suspects for questioning for up to three months.

Police are preparing specific shoot-to-kill orders to combat suicide bombers.
It is part of a pre-planned response to suicide bombers drafted last year which is named Operation Kratos and draws on Israeli experience.

Man shot was not linked to London terror attacks
Police had said yesterday that the shooting was “directly linked” to anti-terror operations.

Police said Saturday that a man shot and killed on a subway car had nothing to do with an investigation into a series of bombing attacks Thursday on London's transit system.
The plain clothes undercover policeman nearest to me had the black automatic pistol in his left hand, he held it down to the guy and unloaded five shots into him.

"There was obviously some sort of altercation going on, and then they came flying onto the platform and these guys just threw this man into the open doors of the train."

So, they already had him effectively in custody, threw him onto the train, then jumped on him and pumped bullets into his brain?

Pursued by a group of men without uniforms, at least one of who has a gun, who wouldn't run? The authorities will claim they had to shoot him as they were afraid he was going to set off a bomb, but since they had him under surveillance, why did they let someone they suspected of carrying a bomb onto a crowded subway train? Did they want him to set off a bomb?
And has anyone else noticed that all these photos of bombing suspects do not show anything that looks like a bomb? No backpacks, no bags, and in two of the photos where the coats are open it is plain there is no vest of dynamite sticks.

Suspect shot dead 'had no bomb'
Earlier in the story they say he tripped while entering the carriage, so grabbing evertything that might arrest his fall, including a pole and a bystander, seems perfectly understandable without trying to justify the shooting by claiming hs took a hostage. And how does taking a hostage work if the man didn't have either a gun or bomb?

Ken Livingstone, the London Mayor, said police have no choice but to shoot to kill when faced with a suicide bomber. "If they remain conscious, they could trigger plastic explosives," Mr. Livingstone said?

Scotland Yard said in a statement that "the man was unconnected to the incidents of Thursday 21 July." It added that the man, who has not yet been identified, was "probably unconnected" to the first bombings on July 7.

Scotland Yard said the man was arrested in Stockwell, where another suspect was detained on Friday and another man was shot dead by police in a subway station.

A firestorm erupted amongst alternative media after this website first highlighted the inconceivable coincidence of Visor Consultants holding an exercise which centered around bombs exploding in the exact areas and at the same time as happened during the real 7/7 London Underground attack.

The truth will always triumph over the scoffing sardonic whims of establishment media news whores.

"I was in tube bomb carriage - and survived"
"The policeman said 'mind that hole, that's where the bomb was'. The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train."The metal was pushed upwards as if the bomb was underneath the train". Yeah, it was Muslims, sure, sure, that's it. Muslims did it, with backpacks, yeah, that's it, backpacks!

The second wave of attempted bomb attacks have raised fresh questions over the ability of Britain's intelligence services to prevent terrorist atrocities.
As police yesterday released CCTV images of the men claimed to have made a bungled attempt to repeat the 7 July carnage on Thursday, security chiefs were forced to admit that they had once again been taken by surprise. None of the men caught on the CCTV cameras was even known to the police, MI5 or MI6.

Four men are picked out of CCTV images, none of which shows them carrying any bombs, and none of these men have any prior record of terroristic activity. But the possibility that they have framed more innocent people cannot be tolerated, so the spin is that the intelligence agencies "failed"?

A rapid series of car bombs and another blast ripped through a luxury hotel and a coffeeshop in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik early Saturday, killing at least 83.
The attacks, Egypt's deadliest terror hit ever, came just two days after the latest strikes in London and sent an already jittery world reeling again.

Explosion hits Beirut
It was the second major blast in the Lebanese capital in less than two weeks.

"I condemn any killing and any bombing against any innocent people in Britain or abroad, but I expect the British people to condemn the killing of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan."

OCCUPIED BAGHDAD, New Iraq, - They just keep getting stronger.
Despite months of assurances that the forces were on the wane, the guerrillas and terrorists battling the American-backed enterprise here appear to be growing more violent, more resilient and more sophisticated than ever.

Stressed US troops in Iraq 'turning to drugs'
If you knew you had invaded a country and killed a lot of innocent people in a war of conquest started with lies, could you stay clean and sober?

Bush's Rating on Handling of Iraq Continues to Erode

U.S. Military Defies a U.S. Government Order to Release Iraq Abuse Photos
The small number of the photographs released in spring 2004 provoked international outrage at the American military.

The bigger picture
But what's not so clear is why we're focusing so intensely on this piece of the puzzle rather than the big picture. The Bush administration launched a war on false pretenses; caused the deaths of thousands of American soldiers and Iraqi citizens; has so far spent $192 billion on fighting in Iraq (the Congressional Budget Office estimates that war expenses will hit $600 billion by 2010); has created record-setting budget deficits; pushed the national debt to a new high; and is holding prisoners in extra-legal limbo - all of which damages the U.S.

Americas : app1" href="" target=_blank>Rovegate: The scandal that lays bare the cynicism behind Bush's war in Iraq
But in another way, everything is blindingly simple. The Plame leak may not be a scandal in itself. Unquestionably, it is a dirty outgrowth of a real Washington scandal for which no one has been held accountable: the misuse and distortion of prewar intelligence about Saddam Hussein's supposed weapons of mass destruction, that the US and Britain used to justify their unprovoked invasion of Iraq.

Rovegate-let's pull the thread!
Could it be that if we pull the Rove thread we find that it connects to the thread of mastermind Cheney, originally designing and spreading the WMD fear and paranoia? The Cheney thread connects to the hem of Condolezza Rice, echoing that mushroom clouds of destruction would soon be appearing if we didn't go to war immediately. That connects to the thread of the well-tailored suits of Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Colin Powell & Company, the bobble-dolls nodding their heads to it all, yes, we had to fight immediately, even sooner, here are the graphs, charts, right now, go, give your lives, take more!

Bolton-Plame Connection
Now, as Joshua Marshall and Steve Clemons note, we learn that Bolton was called to testify by Plame-gate prosecutor Patrick J. "Bulldog" Fitzgerald. Somehow, Bolton forgot to disclose this on the occasion of his confirmation hearings as UN ambassador.

Bush aide misled FBI, say reports
According to press accounts, Karl Rove, the president's chief political adviser, and Lewis "Scooter" Libby, the vice-president's chief of staff, both provided testimony that was later contradicted by other evidence.

So when do we get invaded to remove the rogue government that spies on its own people, gases its own people during anti War protests, stages "terrorist" attacks, holds crooked elections, attacks other nations without cause, and uses torture on innocent people looking for WMD that don't exist?
