The 9/11 Reichstag Fire
9/11 wasn't a surprise attack, it was a governmentally orchestrated "catastrophic and catalyzing event" - the Nazis burned the Reichstag, the Bush administration staged the 9/11 attacks.

Bush, Bliar compared to Nazi war criminals
A former chief UN weapons inspector has compared British Prime Minister Tony Blair and US President George Bush to the Nazi war criminals who started World War II.

U.S. must stop tolerating abuse of prisoners

The White House has only itself to blame for the Senate's rare rebuke of a wartime president. The 90-9 vote to require that U.S. troops use only specific, Army-authorized interrogation techniques on prisoners – tacked onto a $440 billion military spending bill despite a veto warning from the White House – reflected a bipartisan consensus that the abuses seen at GuantÁnamo Bay and in Iraq can no longer be tolerated.

But it was nicely timed to Bush's terrorist speech, wasn't it?

Scope of Plots Bush Says Were Foiled Is Questioned
The White House acknowledged that many of the plots cited by Bush were based on previously known information. But it would not comment on whether Bush and his administration had claimed credit for thwarting terrorist plots in the United States that, in reality, had not risen to the level of a "serious" operational plot at all, as some federal counter-terrorism officials maintained.

If the cloak of democracy is stripped away, Bush's "wars for democracy" begin to look like the foreign adventures of a megalomaniac. Remove Bush's rhetorical cover, and tolerance at home and abroad for Bush's war would evaporate. If Bush persisted, he would become a pariah.

Americans may feel that they cannot undercut a president at war, in which case Americans will become an embattled people consumed by decades of conflict. Americans can boot out Bush or pay dearly in blood and money.

So when do we get invaded to remove the rogue government that spies on its own people, gases its own people during anti War protests, stages "terrorist" attacks, holds crooked elections, attacks other nations without cause, and uses torture on innocent people looking for WMD that don't exist?
