If the Commission has created a new tale about the military's response that contradicts what the military had been saying since September 18, 2001; if the Commission has suppressed Laura Brown's memo and Norman Mineta's testimony; if the Commission has contradicted statements by Richard Clarke, Paul Wolfowitz, Vice President Cheney, and three high-ranking NORAD officials--Captain Michael Jellinek, Colonel Robert Marr, and General Larry Arnold--it seems elementary that our news organizations should report these contradictions. I cannot, at least, imagine how anyone from the mainstream media could support the contention that they should not report such contradictions.
Exposing such contradictions could, of course, lead to exposing evidence that the Bush-Cheney administration had prior knowledge of, and perhaps even orchestrated, the attacks of 9/11, which would mean that the whole post-9/11 "war on terror" has been based on deceit. I cannot imagine how anyone in the media could marshal a principled argument to the effect that, if that is true, the media are not obligated to report the relevant evidence.
Unfortunately, of course, principle is often over-ruled by other considerations. But we can hope that even the corporate owners of the mainstream media now realize that 9/11 has been used to justify policies that have greatly weakened our country and undermined its reputation and credibility in most of the world. And we can hope that they will, on the basis of this realization, put the welfare of our country and our planet ahead of any considerations that would prevent them from allowing the press to carry out its most important task as the Fourth Estate: exposing high crimes in high places.

I didn't go on the Protest March - but have always, always from the time of 911 - been AGAINST the war. I've Marched other times.
However, I'm a hero also, I DARED write this to my congresscritter:
"Get us our of this war! ANd refuse Bush's inclination to start another War Front in Iran!
We, The People are awre that we've already lost the war in Iraq!.
THere's no fooling us on this. NO hiding it.
You- Congress have been giving your powers to Bush. We want you to stop it - and take back this power, and stand up like men, with a backbone!
We, People also are aware, that you've been shipping out our able bodied - defenders, both men and women, and leaving us open to invasion from other sources. Do you think we're stupid
"peasants" in the Middle Ages.!
Get us out of this War.
And by the way, have you served in the military? And have you been to war?
GET US OUT OF THIS WAR!
We've had enough.

I have stopped ueing the word "war".
This ain't a war:
* No war has been declared pursuant to Article 1; Section 8 of the US Constitution which specifically gives that power to the Congress, not the President.
** A war implies the opponant has an Army ........we are fighting the citizens ( I don't say "insurgents" either - they are the homeys; the citizens of a country we invaded)
*** The term "war" legitimises this "smash and grab" orchestrated by shills of the oil industry who managed to get themselves "elected" into high office so they could use the US Military and the US Treasury to plunder the resourses of and establish puppet governments in countries we will continue plunder under the pretense of "liberation"
A massive, full scale slaughter of defenseless, innocent citizens in their own country so we can loot said country, is something other than"war".

I put this up on crooks and liars and a lot people dig it that you took pictures and put them on the web for people to see. It's amazing but so many people around the country didn't even know there were protests.

I had glued several of the new Abu Ghraib porno photos on the back of my sign, but the glue wasn't quite dry when the wind picked up and they all blew into a bunch of bicycle cops, Doh! I'm still surprised there aren't more people in the streets, but the people in their cars honk a lot more and I didn't even see one middle finger today. We had about 1,500-2,000? The local NEWS?WHORE$ just reported about 100 protestors!!! Honest to Christ! The local news stations sent out cameramen, but no reporters? The local paper printed a huge map for a (whine) support the troops rally a few weeks ago, no mention today of any protest! The cops started us on the sidewalk, but we eventually got a lane! Three years ago we were maced, gassed, and shot at! When the two lone 15 year old pro war skinheads showed up I roused all the hippies into chanting USA! My TAR AND FEATHER Heather (Wilson NM Rep.) sign got a lot of thumbs up and paparazzo cell phone shots!
