Bush ignores hundreds of laws
XXXXXXXXX Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution.

Attack Iran, Ignore the Constitution
The founders of the American Republic were deeply concerned that the President's power to make war might become the vehicle for tyranny. So they crafted a Constitution that included checks and balances on presidential power, among them an independent Congress and judiciary, an executive power subject to laws written by Congress and interpreted by the courts, and an executive power to repel attacks but not to declare or finance war.

U.S. rejects Iran inspection offer -
A reminder that Iran's activities are building nuclear power stations and making fuel rods for the same, activities which Iran are legally allowed to do under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, which both the US and Iran (but not Israel) have signed. Article VI of the Constitution of the United States states clearly, "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land." In demanding that Iran stop making fuel for their power reactors, George Bush has broken the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and in so doing, once again stands guilty or breaking the laws of the United States of America, and defying the Constitution of the United States, which his oath of office compels him to uphold. Why isn't Congress impeaching Bush for violating the Constitution?

Colbert Lampoons Bush at White House Correspondents Dinner-- President Not Amused?
Colbert also made biting cracks about missing WMDs, “photo ops” on aircraft carriers and at hurricane disasters, melting glaciers and Vice President Cheney shooting people in the face. He advised the crowd, "if anybody needs anything at their tables, speak slowly and clearly on into your table numbers and somebody from the N.S.A. will be right over with a cocktail. " Bush quickly turned from an amused guest to an obviously offended target as Colbert’s comments brought up his low approval ratings and problems in Iraq.

Tens of Thousands in NYC Protest IRAQ/IRAN War
The demonstrators stretched for about 10 blocks as they headed down Broadway.

Attorney General Gonzales defends Iraq war to 6th graders
A 12-year-old at the other end of the table had a question. "What do you think about the war?" he asked.
Gonzales put down his hamburger. "One thing you have to remember is that sometimes people have to die so we can all live in freedom. That's always been the case." "I think they should end the war," Maurice said. "You know what, I think everybody wants the war to end as soon as possible," Gonzales said. "I really do. Nobody wants young American soldiers to die, including the president." "If the president made us go to war with Iraq, why doesn't he go over there and fight the war?" Christian May asked. "Why doesn't he go do that?" Gonzales responded. "He's sort of the commander in chief. He's kind of leading the troops. That's what happens in wars. You have people making the plans and making the decisions . . . and then you have people who make sure those directives are carried out."
At that moment, a Justice Department public relations officer suggested that the onlooking reporter leave the two to "chat freely."

New oil shock ahead as $100 spike looms
The growing international crisis over Iran's nuclear programme could trigger a catastrophic oil price spike, sending crude prices over $100 a barrel!

So when do we get invaded to remove the rogue government that spies on its own people, gases its own people during anti War protests, stages "terrorist" attacks, holds crooked elections, attacks other nations without cause, and uses torture on innocent people looking for WMD that don't exist?
